Marietta City Schools Lobby
While working for
KSU Museums, Archives, and Rare Books
Year Completed
2024
Since its founding in 1892, Marietta City Schools has striven to develop young minds and build character. When the administrative building was being remodeled, MCS brought in KSU’s Special Projects team to showcase the district’s rich history. Now, historical artifacts and collages of black and white photographs from the 1800s, the 1900s, and the new millennium wrap the entire lobby. Introductory panels and a new timeline of events greet visitors in the atrium. We adhered to the brand guidelines of the district, and our team made sure to feature students, faculty, and staff of all races, genders, and ages to reflect the mosaic of Marietta City Schools.
I designed the entire exhibit myself and even painted and installed the timeline with the help of my colleagues. I made Photoshop mockups to give our client a preview of the final look and created scale architectural drawings to communicate detailed fabrication and installation needs.
This project and its artwork are owned by KSU and/or MCS.
