I researched leading women’s magazines like Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and Seventeen and collected data about their advertisements, hypersexual imagery, and subversive language.

Through synthesizing this data, I concluded that women’s magazines are not about being “Fun Fearless Female,” but are instead powerful tools that manipulate readers into purchasing beauty products as they strive to become society’s idea of The Perfect Woman.
