The Nature Conservancy’s Nachusa Grasslands

Under Contract with

Signature Design

Year Completed

The Nature Conservancy has gradually recreated in Nachusa Grasslands a vision of seventeenth-century Illinois: a mosaic of prairie, savanna, and wetlands, and most recently the reintroduction of the American Bison. Signature Design designed an interpretive program with exhibits, signage and wayfinding for guests to experience Nachusa.

Under contract with Signature Design, I collaborated with a team of excellent interpreters, designers, and planners. I created the Patch Burn Grazing graphic, designed the map on the Welcome Panel, and was responsible for all design, copy, and photo credit changes on eleven panels, as well as creating the final production-ready files.
